Do you have a reseller package with us? If so we use Let’s Encrypt SSL’s for our free SSL Certificates. They are a fantastic provider and are very easy to use. These are used on your’s and your customers accounts so it’s good to know how they are activated.
In this tutorial we will show you how to issue free ssl certificates.
Step 1: Login to cPanel and scroll to “Security”.
You can find your login details in the account information email we sent to you when you registered for website hosting. On shared hosting plans you can also automatically login from your Smughost account.
Once logged in scroll to the bottom of the page where it says “Security”.
Step 2: Press “Let’s Encrypt SSL”.
Step 3: Scroll and Find Your Domain
Scroll down the page and under the “Issue a new Certificate” find the domain name you want to issue to ssl certificate for.
Step 4: Press “Issue” on the domain you want it activated for.
Step 5: Select all the options
Select all of the clickable options in the boxes. In the bottom box select the “http” option.
Step 6: Press “Issue”.
Step 7: All Done!
Your SSL Certificate should now be issued it may take some moments to show affect as it has to verify your website is safe.
