Sometimes even though you have activated the free ssl certificate we provide your script may not call for the certificate meaning your website still won’t show as secure, with this simple fix your script will call for the SSL Certificate. This can also be used on WordPress.

You can force an HTTPS connection on your website by adding these rules in your website’s .htaccess file:

The .htaccess file needs to be located inside the site’s document root folder (usually /public_html/).

If your website is in a sub folder, then the .htaccess should be placed in the corresponding sub folder.
You can create or edit the .htaccess file either via FTP, or using with the File Manager available in cPanel.

Your script may already have a .htaccess but these are hidden files, you can simply see the hidden files by finding the “Settings” button in the top right of the cPanel file manager and then click “Show Hidden Files”.

We hope this has helped and if you have any questions or need help implementing this code get in touch!
