This is going to be a longer article than usual as we are going to go through most of the features you can use on the file manager on Plesk. The file manager is quite powerful and gives you a lot of control. You can use the key below to scroll straight to the part you need.
1. Login to your Plesk: You can find your Plesk login details in the email we send you when you setup the account.
2. Find and Click “File Manager” under the account you want to use the file manager on.
4.1. Find the file you want to edit in the directories and once you locate it click on the file name to open the HTML editor.
4.3. Once you have finished you can click the blue “Save” button and your updated file will save to the server.
4.2. You can now make the changes you need to the file.
5.1. Click on the blue + symbol and then click “Create Directory”.
5.2. You can now enter the name of your new directory and click “Ok” once done.
6.1. Click on the blue + symbol and then click “Create File”.
6.2. You will now be able to use your newly created file.
7.1. Select the file you want to move by clicking the box next to it.
7.3. Choose the new directory you want to move the file to.
7.2. Now click the “Move” button from the top menu.
8.1. Select the files you want to archive by clicking the boxes next to them.
8.3. Now choose the name of archive and then click “Ok”.
8.2. Now click the “Add to Archive” button from the top menu.
9.1. Click the menu icon next to the file you want to download and then click “Download”.
10.1. Select the file you want to extract.
10.3. Now Click “Ok” and the Files will Extract.
10.2. Now click “Archive” button from the top menu and then “Extract Files”.
11.1. Select the file you want to delete.
11.3. Now Click “Yes, Remove”.
11.2. Now click “Remove” button from the top menu.
12.1. Find the file you want to rename.
12.3. Choose the new name for the file.
12.2. Click on the menu icon and click “Rename”.
12.4. Your file will now be renamed.
As you can see the file manager is very powerful and gives you a lot of control.
