Smughost

In this article we are going to show you how to create a sub domain for your website on cPanel. Sub domains can be used to host another website or as an extension to your current website.

1. Login to your cPanel: You can find your cPanel login details in the email we send you when you setup the account or you can connect directly from your Smughost account.

2. Find and Click “Subdomains” under the “Domains” tab on your cPanel.

3. Enter the sub domain you want to register for your website. If you have multiple domains connected to the account you can use the drop down menu to select the main domain you want to create the sub domain for. You then choose where you want the files stored in your directories.

4. Your sub domain is now created and you can start using it. Sometimes it can take a little while to become fully active. You can also use Sub domains for softaculous to instantly install scripts.

Here is an example of where your sub domain is stored in your file manager where you can install a new website.
