In this article we are going to show you how to suspend an account in your WHM. It’s very simple and is a helpful feature in case you need to stop someone accessing their account for any reason, the most common reason is they haven’t paid for the service. Suspending someones account will stop them accessing their cPanel but will also stop their website from showing like normal. The clients website will now show a suspended page.
1. Login to your WHM: You can find your WHM login details in the email we send you when you setup the account or you can connect directly from your Smughost account.
2. Find and Click “List Accounts” under the “Account Information” tab on the menu. You can also use the same option on the home of WHM.
Now click the Plus symbol next to the account you want to suspend.
4. Now enter a reason for suspending the account, this is optional but recommended so you know for the future. Once happy with the reason click “Suspend”.
5. Now WHM will suspend the account.
That account is now suspended and the client will not be able to access the cPanel account and the website will show as suspended, we hope this has helped and if you have any questions or need help, get in touch!
