In this article we are going to show you how to change the password of a database user on Plesk. You may need to change the password for security or because you have forgotten the old one.

1. Login to your Plesk: You can find your Plesk login details in the email we send you when you setup the account.

2. Find and Click “Databases” from the sidebar of your control panel.

3. Now click on the domain name that owns the database you want to change the password for.

4. Now click on the database user shown under the database you want to change the password for.

5. Enter the new password you want to use or generate one.

6. Now click “Apply” and then “Ok”.

You have now changed the database user password and you can update any connections you have with the new password. You can change the password at anytime. A secure password is recommended as for most scripts the database holds all of the important data.
